Updated: Aug 5

The Erasmus+ KA152 Youth Exchange project “Harmony in Diversity” (Project No: 2025-3-HU01-KA152-YOU-000376909), coordinated by Megújulásért Környezetvédelmi Egyesület, was successfully implemented in Budapest, Hungary, between 24–31 March 2026. Bringing together young participants from Czechia, Hungary, Lithuania, Romania, Türkiye the project aimed to raise awareness about the protection of endangered species, the preservation of biodiversity, and environmental sustainability.
Throughout the week, participants took part in a wide range of non-formal learning activities focused on environmental protection and nature awareness. Through workshops, seminars, creative exercises, field observations, and group work, young people explored the threats faced by endangered species, examined the impact of human activities on ecosystems, and gained a deeper understanding of sustainable living. They also developed innovative ideas and practical solutions to environmental challenges while strengthening their sense of active citizenship and social responsibility.
The project also placed a strong emphasis on intercultural learning and international cooperation. Through cultural activities and exchanges, participants had the opportunity to learn about one another’s traditions, share experiences, and come together around common values. These activities reinforced the understanding that environmental protection is not only a local concern but also a global responsibility that requires cooperation across borders. At the same time, participants enhanced their intercultural communication skills, mutual understanding, tolerance, and solidarity.
With its successful completion, Harmony in Diversity contributed to empowering young people to become more environmentally conscious, socially responsible, and actively engaged citizens. The project generated valuable outcomes in the fields of environmental sustainability, biodiversity conservation, active citizenship, and intercultural dialogue, demonstrating how international youth cooperation can inspire meaningful action for the protection of nature and the creation of a more sustainable future.
